The French Quarter Classic has been postponed. A new date has yet to be decided, but we plan to resume production of the French Quarter Classic next year. More information will be posted here as it becomes available.

Thanks to our guests, sponsors, and the city of New Orleans for making this year’s event a great success! The 7th annual French Quarter Classic proved to be another great year for the event, which drew many friends, old and new — including legendary Ferrari test driver Dario Benuzzi. From the beautiful setting at Houmas House to the fast-paced track event at No Problem Raceway, the event found great support from the city and once again helped to reinvigorate our local economy. Welcome to the seventh edition of the French Quarter Classic! Can you say “outrageous” with an italian accent?

This year we are adding the “scuderia” to the Tradition. We are keeping the venues you’ve grown to love, the police ecorted tours, the Bourbon Street Balcony, the great food, frendship and music. However we are also reviving an old tradition - the Grand Prix of Louisiana - which was last held in 1952 and won by a Ferrari 315S. This year, the Grand Prix of Louisiana will re-emerge featuring past and present Ferrari Challege cars. The Grand Prix and the 2007 French Quarter Classic will be the highlight of a two hour program filmed and broadcast by Cox Communications for the Travel Channel. The stars of the show will be the guests of the 2007 French Quarter Classic. We’re pleased to host you once more and hope that everyone is ready for November 1st!

Thanks to our guests, sponsors, and the city of New Orleans for making this year’s event a runaway success! The 6th annual French Quarter Classic truly proved to be “faster than a hurricane, and more outrageous than a FEMA response!” From the road rallies and fast-paced track event at No Problem Raceway to the Concorso and world-class French Quarter dining, the event drew great support from the city and helped to reinvigorate the local economy.

2006 French Quarter Classic

Pirelli North America, along with Franco Valobra and John Houghtaling, are pleased to invite you to the sixth annual French Quarter Classic from Thursday, November 2nd to Sunday, November 5th.

As promised, the 2006 event will be “faster than a hurricane, and more outrageous than the FEMA response!” Registration is currently available online.

Hailed as “The Ultimate Ferrari Party” by Forza magazine and “magnificent” by the Ferrari Market Letter, the French Quarter Classic will once again provide a lucky few with an unparalleled driving and dining experience!

The event will kick off on Thursday, November 2nd, with a welcome reception at the Piazza d’Italia. Friday will begin with a spirited police escort to an FIA, 2-mile road course where participants can experience the track alongside former F1 drivers.

Friday night, participants will enjoy a private dinner at a chic and historic New Orleans restaurant. Saturday night will feature one of the event’s highlights: a black-tie Mardi Gras gala on a famous Bourbon Street Balcony.

The fabulous weekend will be capped off Sunday with a Ferrari Parade through the French Quarter and a Crescent City style brunch at a private New Orleans mansion.
